The BIO-GEO-CLIM project aims to assess the impact of climate warming in the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions of Russia on natural ecosystems and basic biogeochemical cycles, human activities, and the economy. The laboratory was established in 2013 and supported by the mega-grant fund, and the audit carried out in 2015 confirmed the success of the project. The scientific team of the laboratory has become the only team in the world to conduct seasonal systematic observations on the latitudinal profile from the Tomsk region to Yamal.
